First Lady Plans Trip to Africa

WASHINGTON – First lady Laura Bush (search) will travel to Africa next month to talk about education, the battle against HIV/ AIDS and women’s rights, the White House announced Tuesday.

Mrs. Bush will leave for Africa from Scotland, where President Bush is attending the G-8 meeting (search) of leading industrialized countries in Scotland from July 6-8. Details of her itinerary have not yet been announced.
